Annual Report

A Message From Our Co-Lead Pastors

This past year has been a meaningful season in the life of our church—one marked by faithfulness, steady growth, and deep formation in the Body of Christ!|

God has been present and active, shaping hearts, strengthening disciples, and forming a community rooted in the gospel. As a church, we have continued to proclaim the good news of Jesus and walk alongside people as they take intentional steps of faith. We’ve seen lives changed, relationships deepened, and individuals step into community and service in powerful ways. This has been a season of formation—of deepening roots so that lasting fruit can grow in time.

Our mission remains clear and unchanged. We exist to help people know and follow Jesus step by step. This Annual Report serves as a mile marker along that journey—a reflection of God’s faithfulness and our shared stewardship of what He has entrusted to us.

Within these pages, you’ll find stories, numbers, and ministry updates that represent real people and real work. Each statistic represents a life. Each line item reflects trust. This report exists to celebrate what God has done and to demonstrate accountability in how the resources of this church have been stewarded.

We are deeply grateful for every person who prays, serves, gives, and shows up. Your faithfulness—often expressed in simple, consistent ways—matters more than you know. We remain hopeful—not because of what we can produce, but because God brings the growth, and Jesus is faithfully building His church!

With humility and gratitude,

Pete & Kelly Jankowski

KidsLife

One of the greatest joys is watching God move in our kids’ hearts every Sunday. In 2025 alone, KidsLife had a total attendance of 12,339. The highest attendance on a Sunday was 300 kids, and the average attendance was 241 each week, filling our rooms with laughter, worship, and growing faith.

12,339 children participated in KidsLife

Even more meaningful than the numbers is this: every single week, our kids hear the Gospel clearly presented, learning who Jesus is and how much He loves them. We are seeing seeds planted, faith sparked, and families impacted in powerful ways.

"Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him" - Psalm 127:3

As Psalm 127:3 reminds us, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him.” We are so grateful to steward this next generation and excited for all God will continue to do!

StudentLife

We’re celebrating incredible growth in our StudentLife ministry this year! In our middle school ministry, average Sunday attendance grew from 31 students in the first semester to 48 in the second semester.

Our high school ministry also reached a major milestone this year, recording a record attendance of more than 60 high school students in a single gathering.

While the year began slowly for both ministries, momentum built throughout the year. By the second semester, StudentLife reached a combined weekly average of 100 students, and we celebrated as multiple students made the life-changing decision to follow Jesus.

Average of 100 students a week!

Prove Me Wrong

Beyond attendance, we’ve seen meaningful spiritual growth in our high school ministry this semester. Our seniors have stepped into leadership in a powerful way, taking the initiative to lead Bible studies for underclassmen and invest in the next generation of students.

In our middle school ministry, we’ve watched students take ownership of the culture by intentionally making new students feel seen, known, and loved. We also launched a series called Prove Me Wrong, where students engaged in thoughtful discussions with Pastor Jordan, exploring the foundations of their faith and learning to defend it using Scripture.

We’re grateful for the ways God continues to move in the lives of our students and are excited to see their faith grow deeper and stronger.

Next Steps

299 said YES to Jesus

As Life Church helps people know and follow Jesus step by step, the Next Steps team exists to help them discover those steps, grow in their faith, and serve in God’s Kingdom. In 2025, we saw 299 people take their first step by placing their faith in Jesus, 276 people take the bold step to proclaim their faith publicly through baptism, and more than 60 people join a volunteer team for the first time!

Everyone has a Next Step, and we are dedicated to connecting with anyone who is looking to take that next step. Our team has had hundreds of phone calls discussing giftings, new faith, baptism, finding places to plug in, and sometimes simply encouraging those who are still navigating. Our desire and our absolute joy is being able to walk with people as we all follow Jesus together.

Outreach

In 2025, Life Church Buffalo continued to live out the call of Micah 6:8 – to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. This year marked a powerful season of growth, obedience, and deepened impact as our church stepped beyond the walls of the building and into the heart of our city, our nation, and our world.

67

6:8

One of the year’s most significant milestones was the launch of 12 Project 6:8 relational outreach teams. These teams were formed around a shared conviction: transformation happens best through relationships. Each team is committed to consistently showing up – listening, serving, praying, and walking alongside people in tangible ways. What began as a vision became a movement, activating hundreds of individuals to live missionally in everyday life throughout the Buffalo region.

In 2025, Life Church Buffalo also stepped onto the global mission field with three international mission trips to Honduras, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. These teams partnered with local ministries, churches, and leaders to serve communities, encourage believers, and share the Gospel. Each trip strengthened our global partnerships while shaping the hearts of those sent, reminding us that God’s mission knows no borders.

Life Groups

In 2025, we were truly better together. Not simply gathered, but intentionally aligned—like the church the Apostle Paul envisioned: one body, many parts, each doing its unique work so that

“the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love” - Eph. 4:16 NLT

This vision shaped our year and gave language to what God was forming among us. As a Groups ministry, 2025 became a season of deepening health, widening growth, and maturing love as we clarified our purpose and leaned more fully into a transformational, disciple-making community.

825

Over the past year, 70 active Life Groups opened their lives and homes to 825 adults who gathered weekly for prayer, Scripture, fellowship, and service. Participation swelled, with more than 300 stepping into a small group community for the very first time. Our 100 volunteer group leaders are learning how to become front-line shepherds whose commitment to discipleship and spiritual care is creating spaces where people feel known, welcomed, and supported. Behind the scenes, we also strengthened the infrastructure by training a gifted team of group coaches and welcoming our new Groups Director, Maria Connor. Her leadership has already been a tremendous blessing!

As we look toward the coming year, we aim to make the mission increasingly clear and compelling: to launch healthy new groups, raise spiritually mature leaders, and help every member of our church find an opportunity to belong and become more like Jesus together.

I love our Church & being a part of this amazing family

I love this church and the way this church family has welcomed me with open arms.

I just wanted to let you know that my family and I attended one of your Christmas services this past weekend, and it was incredible. I was brought to tears during the candlelit song, and I am blown away by your talented worship team. Thank you for this experience. It was our first time at your church, and it was memorable.

I’m so grateful that I went to church today, against all odds, I defeated the enemy and walked in on my own. I’m finding joy through the sorrow and the FREEDOM of my oppression. I love this church!! 🙌❤️😍

Thanks for becoming my new home every Sunday!

Strengthening Our Team

Throughout 2025, God provided new staff members at key moments that have strengthened and contributed to the health of our team! These additions included both vital support roles and ministry leadership, each contributing in meaningful ways to how we serve, lead, and care for our church family.

Through faithful administrative support and thoughtful ministry leadership, our team has experienced greater clarity, shared responsibility, and sustainable rhythms. These team members have helped foster a healthy staff culture—one marked by collaboration, trust, and a growing ability to serve well over the long term. Their presence has strengthened not only what we do, but how we do it together.

We are deeply grateful for the people God has brought to our team—individuals who serve with humility, faithfulness, and a genuine love for the Church. Their contributions have been a gift to our staff and to our church family, and we thank God for the ways He continues to build His church through His people!

Amber Farage

Executive Assistant

Amber gave her heart to Jesus at 5 years old and has been serving in the church for as long as she can remember. Amber holds a master’s degree in Christian Counseling & Psychology, and she brings over 12 years of administrative experience in the Wealth Management space. Amber, along with her husband (Joe) and their 4 young children, has been attending Life Church Buffalo since 2022, and she joined the LCB Staff at the end of 2025.

Beth Hoganmiller

Executive Assistant

Beth has known God ever since she was a little girl, and whether she is close to home or traveling around the world, she strives to share His love with others. Beth has a bachelor’s degree in Communication and has worked in administrative roles across legal, higher education, and financial settings. Now she is excited to put her experience to work serving in a church setting at Life Church Buffalo!

Maria Connor

Ministry Director

Maria was saved and radically transformed by Christ in her late twenties. God gave her a clear purpose – to share the Good News and build His Kingdom. With a background in hospitality and ministry, Maria has served in nearly every area of the church, including Children’s & Student Ministries, Missions & Outreach, Groups, and Prayer. She spent eight years on staff at Grace Fellowship Church in Katy, Texas. In 2024, God led Maria and her husband back to New York State and Life Church Buffalo. She is continually amazed by God’s faithfulness and goodness in her life.

Katie Desjardins

Next Steps Coordinator

Katie “grew up on the pew,” as they say, and has had a love for the church and serving God’s people since. God has used Katie in various teaching capacities over the years, from Sunday School, VBS, Bible Studies, and even vocational teaching for 7 years. Katie and her family joined Life Church Buffalo in early 2023 and soon began serving. With a heart filled with a deep desire to see people connected and knowing that it is almost impossible to serve God alone, it made sense for Katie to join our Next Steps team. She became the team’s coordinator in early 2024 and, by 2025, joined as official staff.
